Penguin Books bursary for the MA Publishing course

Penguin LogoThe MA Publishing course was fortunate to be able to offer a bursary of £3,000 for the academic year 2009-2010. This was Penguin's very first publishing bursary to be awarded, on a competitive basis, to a UK/EU student to study on the Book and Journal pathway on the MA in Publishing course at LCC.

Details, if any, are pending for 2010/11 applicants and will be published if and when confirmed.

Cambridge University Press

Cambridge University Press logoThe MA in Book Publishing has been in consultation with Cambridge University Press, at Cambridge and Delhi, and successfully negotiated for employees at their Indian offices to come to London to study over a period of five years - one per year. The purpose behind this partnership is to allow for 5 young Indian publishers to study on the MA in Book Publishing and take the skills and knowledge they will gain during that time and apply it within the Indian publishing market for the benefit of CUP. India is known to have a lively and enthusiastic local publishing scene, but also it acknowledges the need to adjust to the demands of global publishing. The MA in Book Publishing staff are delighted to be able to work closely with CUP on this initiative.
